Original Sample:
In Summertime by Ronnie McNeir
This week’s sample comes from Ronnie McNeir’s first LP with RCA in 1972. He later became a member of The Four Tops. Make sure you check out his catalog; dude has some amazing soul classics which is sure to be sampled/featured on future sessions.

Several years after his release of …Exact Change… which featured the singles Crooks and Rooks and Quit, Bambu has re-released the album with …Exact Change…Reloaded through Beat Rock Music. The re-release comes with a bonus CD which features a track named “The Arrival” which was produced by Generation ILL/WBS’s very own PMBeatz. The beat was featured almost exactly one year ago in our Cinco De Mayo Session, BeatSession 05|09|10. This release marks Gen ILL’s second collaboration with Bambu – the first being his feature on the DF/Hydro EP. If you haven’t already, make sure you cop the double CD re-release on itunes and support good music.
Here’s the first video from Exact Change Reloaded/Short Changed – Something (prod by DJ Phatrick)
